Abstract:Objective To observe the safety and effectiveness of moxibustion combined with stellate ganglion block in the treatment of facial herpes zoster neuralgia. Methods A total of 40 patients with facial herpes zoster neuralgia admitted to the Pain Department of our hospital from June 2020 to March 2022 were divided into the reference group (n=20) and the treatment group (n=20) by drawing lots. The reference group was treated with simple stellate ganglion block, and the treatment group was treated with moxibustion on the basis of the reference group. The TCM symptom score, pain score, herpes improvement time, quality of life score, patient satisfaction with facial beauty score and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results The TCM symptom score, pain score and herpes improvement time in the treatment group were lower than those in the reference group (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate of treatment in the treatment group (95.00%) was higher than that in the reference group (70.00%) (P<0.05). The quality of life score and satisfaction score of patients with facial beauty in the treatment group were higher than those in the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion Moxibustion combined with stellate ganglion block is effective in the treatment of facial herpes zoster neuralgia, which can reduce the degree of pain, improve the symptoms of herpes and improve the quality of life of patients. It is worthy of clinical application.
