Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of porcelain veneer and porcelain crown restoration in oral cosmetic repair. Methods A total of 104 patients with oral cosmetic repair admitted to Mianxian Hospital from June 2018 to June 2021 were selected as subjects. They were divided into group A and group B by random number table method, with 52 cases in each group. Group A was treated with porcelain veneer restoration, and group B was treated with porcelain crown restoration. The restoration effect, periodontal health, chewing function, restoration aesthetics and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results At 6 months after restoration, the scores of color matching, tooth sensitivity, gingival status, marginal coloring, secondary caries, marginality and tooth integrity in group A were higher than those in group B (P<0.05); PD, BI and AL in group A were lower than those in group B (P<0.05); the masticatory function score of group A was higher than that of group B (P<0.05); the scores of facial condition, restoration color, overall aesthetics and tooth profile dimension in group A were higher than those in group B, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the incidence of adverse events in group A was lower than that in group B (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment effect of porcelain veneer for oral cosmetic repair is better than that of porcelain crown, which can improve the health of teeth and restore the masticatory function of teeth, and the repair is beautiful and safe.
