Abstract:Objective To study the effect of WeChat continuous nursing on cognition and coping style of scar shaping after head and face burn in women. Methods A total of 70 female patients with head and facial burn who received scar plastic surgery in Nanchong Central Hospital of Sichuan Province from March 2018 to March 2020 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was given routine continuous nursing at discharge, while the observation group was given WeChat continuous nursing. The coping style [medical coping questionnaire (MCMQ) score], body image cognition [body image disorder self rating scale (BIRS) score], quality of life [health survey short form (SF-36) score] and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The face score of MCMQ in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the avoidance and yield scores were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The BIRS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of physical function, physiological function, physical condition, total health status, vitality, social function, emotional function and mental health in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of nursing professional degree, service attitude and nursing effect on their own life in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion WeChat continuous nursing can improve the body image cognition and coping style of women with scar plastic surgery after head and face burns, improve their quality of life, and have high nursing satisfaction.
