Abstract:Objective To analyze the intervention effect of comprehensive nursing on orthodontic treatment with fixed appliance. Methods A total of 70 orthodontic patients admitted to our hospital from February 2018 to September 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and experimental group, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, and the experimental group received comprehensive nursing intervention. The enamel demineralization degree, compliance, nursing satisfaction and oral health status were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of enamel demineralization degree 0 in the experimental group was 45.71%, which was higher than 17.14% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The compliance of the experimental group was 94.29%, which was higher than 77.14% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was 97.14%, which was higher than 80.00% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The plaque index (PLI) and gingival index (GI) scores of the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the experimental group was lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing intervention in orthodontic patients with fixed orthodontic treatment can improve oral health status, treatment compliance and satisfaction, and effectively improve enamel shedding.
