Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of type A botulinum toxin injection in the treatment of recurrent armpit odor. Methods A total of 100 patients with recurrent armpit odor admitted to Dali County Hospital from October 2018 to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group and the observation group was treated with axillary minimally invasive small incision surgery and type A botulinum toxin injection respectively. The clinical efficacy, recurrence rate and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 94.00%, which was higher than 76.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 3 and 6 months after treatment (P <0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at 3 and 6 months after treatment (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of type A botulinum toxin injection in the treatment of recurrent armpit odor is effective, which can reduce the risk of complications and recurrence rate.
