At present, economic development of China urgently needs a number of high-level skilled talents, and the cultivation of highly skilled talents cannot be separated from a high-quality "double-qualified" teacher team. However, at present, there is a general lack of "double-qualified" teachers in higher vocational colleges. Vocational skills competition can promote higher vocational teachers to change their educational concepts, improve their professional ability, and provide a strong driving force for the construction of "double-qualified" teachers. Taking medical cosmetology technology major as an example, this paper explores the important influence of skill competition on the construction of "double-qualified" teaching staff in higher vocational colleges.
