Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of costal cartilage cortex scaffold in rhinoplasty. Methods Sixty patients who underwent rhinoplasty in our hospital from May 2021 to August 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given a silicone material to build a scaffold, and the observation group was given a costal cartilage cortex to build a scaffold. The healing status, plastic satisfaction, nasal three-dimensional indicators (nasal tip protrusion, nasal length, left and right nasal tip apex spacing), nasal aesthetic indicators (nasolabial angle, nasal surface angle, nasal frontal angle), nasal ventilation function (nasal cavity volume difference, nasal minimum cross-sectional area difference, nasal exhalation resistance difference), quality of life (postoperative mental health, social function) and coP<0.05). The satisfaction scores of nasal tip, nasal shape and nostril in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical application effect of costal cartilage cortical scaffold in rhinoplasty is better than that of silica gel scaffold, which can promote wound healing and improve nasal morphology. Meanwhile, it is beneficial to improve the satisfaction and quality of life of patients with rhinoplasty. The incidence of postoperative complications is small and the safety is high, which is worthy of clinical application. The nasal tip protrusion, nasal length and the distance between the left and right nasal tip apex in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The nasolabial angle, nasal facial angle and nasal frontal angle in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of mental health and social function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical application effect of costal cartilage cortical scaffold in rhinoplasty is better than that of silica gel scaffold, which can promote wound healing and improve nasal morphology. Meanwhile, it is beneficial tomplications were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of healing in the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 86.67% in the control group (P
