Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of modified inverted "L" epicanthus correction combined with incision double eyelid surgery in patients with epicanthus. Methods Sixty patients with epicanthus admitted to our hospital from March 2019 to June 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (n=30) and observation group (n=30) by random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional epicanthus correction and double eyelid plasty, while the observation group was treated with modified inverted "L" method epicanthus correction combined with incision double eyelid plasty. The excellent and good rate of treatment, changes of eye shape parameters, changes of scar score, postoperative complications and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of modified inverted "L" method epicanthus correction combined with double eyelid incision in the treatment of epicanthus patients is outstanding, which is beneficial to improve the parameters of eye shape and reduce the degree of postoperative scar. At the same time, it has high safety and high patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical application.
