Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical effect of small incision extracapsular cataract extraction in the treatment of nuclear sclerotic cataract. Methods From January 2020 to December 2022,30 patients with nuclear sclerotic cataract admitted to our hospital were selected as the research objects. All patients were treated with small incision extracapsular cataract extraction. The visual acuity improvement before and after operation was observed. The intraocular pressure, astigmatism, corneal endothelial cell density, hexagonal cell ratio were measured, and the complications were recorded. Results The proportion of patients with visual acuity of 0.5-1.0 at 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after operation was higher than that before operation (P0.05), but the intraocular pressure at 1 and 3 months after operation was lower than that before operation (P
