Objective To analyze the application effect of bracketless orthodontic technique in orthodontic treatment. Methods A total of 64 orthodontic patients admitted to Yinchuan Stomatological Hospital from September 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 32 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional fixed orthodontic surgery, and the observation group was treated with bracketless orthodontic technology. The orthodontic treatment, chewing function, treatment satisfaction and periodontal index were compared between the two groups. Results The time of turning teeth, tilted teeth and orthodontic treatment in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group ( P <0.05). The masticatory efficiency and bite force of the observation group were better than those of the control group ( P <0.05). The scores of language function, beauty, comfort and convenience in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( P <0.05). The PLI, SBI, GI and SPD indexes of the observation group were better than those of the control group ( P <0.05). Conclusion The treatment of orthodontic patients with bracketless orthodontic treatment is helpful to improve the clinical treatment effect and patient satisfaction, improve the masticatory efficiency of patients, and will not cause obvious damage to the patients' periodontal health. It is worthy of clinical application.
