Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of early cosmetic suture in patients with external injury. Methods From January 2021 to September 2022, 60 patients with external injury admitted to our hospital were selected as the research objects. All patients were treated with early cosmetic suture. The scar status of patients at 3 months after operation was observed, and the factors of scar formation were analyzed. The scar scores of patients at 3 and 6 months after operation and the scar scores of patients with different characteristics were compared. Results The SCAR score was more than 7 scores at 3 months after operation, accounting for 13.33% (8/60), which was set as scar group; SCAR score ≤7 scores, the total proportion was 86.67% (52/60), which was set as no scar group; the scar score of 60 patients at 6 months after operation was (1.96±0.11) scores, which was higher than (2.03±0.21) scores at 3 months after operation, and the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05). Patients with irritating diet, contusion or cutting injury, injury site on the face, and allergic diseases had higher scar scores, and the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05). Conclusion External injury patients with early cosmetic suture have the better healing condition, and the incidence of postoperative scar is low, the wound beauty is better.
