Abstract:Objective To investigate the reasons and repair strategies of asymmetry after blepharoplasty. Methods From August 2013 to December 2021, 78 patients with asymmetry after blepharoplasty in Changshu No.1 People's Hospital and Changshu Times Medical Cosmetology Clinic were selected as the research objects. The causes of asymmetry after blepharoplasty were analyzed, and double eyelid repair was performed. The double eyelid morphology was scored by patients and surgeons before and 12 months after operation. Results Among the 78 beauty seekers in this group, 2 still had mild asymmetry, one of which had removed too much precutaneous tissue from the previous operation, resulting in obvious adhesions of the subcutaneous scar of the lower lip, which affected the smoothness of the double eyelid line, and the other case had skin scars left over from the previous operation, which affected the shape of the double eyelid. The remaining 76 cases achieved satisfactory results after surgery. At 12 months after repair, the scores of beauty seekers and surgeons were higher than those before surgery ( P <0.05). Conclusion By analyzing the causes of asymmetry after blepharoplasty, and repairing and correcting according to the causes, the aesthetic restoration effect will be better improved.
