Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of self-ligating bracket appliance in the treatment of Angle class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion. Methods A total of 104 patients with Angle class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion admitted to our hospital from July 2019 to July 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group, with 52 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional metal brackets, and the study group was treated with self-ligating brackets. The clinical efcacy and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results The total e?ective rate of treatment in the study group was 98.08%, which was higher than 86.54% in the control group (P<0.05). The scores of quality of life in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Selfligating bracket appliance is e?ective in the treatment of patients with Angle class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusion, which can e?ectively improve the function and structure of teeth, and improve their quality of life.
