Abstract:Poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK) as a polymer material, is currently the most promising clinical and oral medical materials, its high quality mechanical properties is considered to be a substitute for titanium and zirconium and other metals. Because of its good physical properties, stable chemical properties and excellent biocompatibility, it has become a new type of oral repair material. With the in-depth development of research, PEEK and its compounds have also attracted attention in the field of stomatology, and have been widely used in removable local denture clings and scaffold materials, fixed denture prostheses, prostheses and implant abutments, and are expected to be used in micro-anchorage and orthodontic arch wires. In this paper, the application of PEEK materials in the field of stomatology is briefly reviewed, and the application prospect and development direction of PEEK in the field of stomatology are prospected, in order to lay a solid foundation for the wide use of PEEK in the field of oral prosthesis.
