Abstract:To analyze the effect of predictive nursing on the incidence of pressure ulcer and Braden score in elderly bedridden patients with advanced cancer. Methods A total of 74 elderly bedridden patients with advanced tumors admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University from 2021 to 2022 were selected as the research objects. According to the order of admission, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 37 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given predictive nursing. The incidence of pressure sores and Braden score were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of pressure ulcers in the observation group was 5.41%, which was lower than 18.92% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of perception, nutrition, skin shear force, friction and humidity in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Predictive nursing can effectively prevent the risk of pressure ulcer and improve Braden score in the nursing of elderly bedridden patients with advanced cancer.
