To analyze the application effect of light-curing composite resin in oral cosmetic restoration. Methods A total of 80 patients who received oral cosmetic restoration in Wuwei People 's Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was repaired with porcelain crown, and the observation group was repaired with light-cured composite resin. The oral cosmetic repair effect, periodontal status, oral health quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of repair in the observation group was 97.50%, which was better than 80.00% in the control group (P <0.05). After repair, PD, PLI and GI in the two groups were lower than those before repair, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of pain and discomfort, oral physiological function, behavior influence and psychological function in the two groups after repair were lower than those before repair, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). Conclusion Light-curing composite resin in oral cosmetic restoration can improve the effect, improve periodontal status and oral health quality of life, and will not increase the risk of complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
