Abstract:To compare the application effect of SU-POR biomaterial nasal stent and autologous costal cartilage nasal stent in rhinoplasty. Methods A total of 100 patients with rhinoplasty admitted to Air Force Special Medical Center, China Medical University from April 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received autologous costal cartilage nasal stent for rhinoplasty, while the observation group received SU-POR biomaterial nasal stent for rhinoplasty. The incidence of complications, wound healing rate and nasal aesthetic index level were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of complications in the observation group was 2.00%, which was lower than 8.00% in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). The grade Ⅰ healing rate of incision in the observation group was 88.00%, which was slightly lower than 92.00% in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P >0.05). The nasal facial angle and nasal tip angle of the two groups at 6 months after operation were higher than those before operation, and those of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The risk of complications and wound healing after augmentation rhinoplasty with SU-POR biomaterial nasal stent and autologous costal cartilage nasal stent are similar, while the aesthetic effect of SU-POR biomaterial nasal stent is better and worthy of clinical application.
