Abstract:To compare the clinical efficacy of porcelain laminate veneers and light-cured composite resin in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods Forty patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in our hospital from January 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the research subjects, involving a total of 53 affected teeth. Based on the different restoration methods, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 20 patients in each group. The control group was repaired using light-cured composite resin, while the observation group was repaired using porcelain laminate veneers. The color, aesthetics, and smoothness effects of the two groups were compared. Results The excellent and good rate of tooth color repair in the observation group was 90.00%, which was higher than 70.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of tooth aesthetics repair in the observation group was 85.00%, which was higher than 65.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of tooth smoothness repair in the observation group was 85.00%, which was higher than 70.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application effect of porcelain laminate veneers in oral aesthetic restoration is better than that of light-cured composite resin. After repair, not only the color of the teeth is closer to the true teeth, but also the smoothness of the teeth is better, and the overall aesthetics of the teeth is higher.
