Abstract:To investigate the effect of modified tension-reducing cosmetic suture in patients with facial soft tissue contusion. Methods A total of 154 patients with facial soft tissue contusion in our hospital from March 2020 to July 2021 were divided into control (n =84) and treatment groups (n =70) according to different treatment methods. The control group was treated with traditional debridement and suture, and the treatment group was treated with modified tension-reducing cosmetic suture. The wound healing, scar condition and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of grade A healing in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the proportion of grade B and grade C healing were lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores and total scores of VSS in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the treatment group was 91.43%, which was higher than 66.67% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of modified tension-reducing cosmetic suture in the treatment of facial skin and soft tissue contusion is better than that of traditional debridement suture. It can not only effectively promote wound healing, but also reduce the scar in the later stage, which is conducive to improving treatment satisfaction.
