Abstract:To explore the clinical effect of orthodontics combined with implant restoration in the treatment of dentition defect with dentognathic deformity. Methods A total of 90 patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity treated in our hospital from May 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with implant restoration, and the observation group was treated with orthodontic treatment combined with implant restoration. The treatment effect, tooth function, oral health, plaque attachment index, tooth aesthetics and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.78%, which was higher than 77.78% in the control group (P <0.05). The language function score and masticatory function score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the soft dirt index and plaque attachment index were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). The excellent and good rate of tooth aesthetics in the observation group was 95.56%, which was higher than 75.56% in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.44%, which was lower than 17.78% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity, orthodontics combined with implant restoration has a definite effect, which can improve dental function, aesthetics and oral hygiene, and reduce the incidence of complications.
