Abstract:To evaluate the effect of micro implant anchorage in adolescent orthodontics. Methods A total of 100 adolescent orthodontic patients admitted to our hospital from May 2019 to May 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional orthodontic treatment, and the observation group was treated with micro implant anchorage. The orthodontic effect, chewing function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The upper mesial incisor convexity difference and the upper mesial incisor inclination difference in the observation group were greater than those in the control group, and the displacement of molars was less than that in the control group (P <0.05). The bite force and masticatory efficiency of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 8.00%, which was lower than 28.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Micro implant anchorage therapy for adolescent orthodontics can obtain satisfactory orthodontic effect, enhance masticatory function, and has good safety.
