Abstract:To explore the application of PBL teaching method in clinical prosthodontics teaching. Methods The students of the first and second classes of the 2020 undergraduate stomatology in Haiyuan College of Kunming Medical University were selected as the research objects. The students of the first class (n =105) were included in the control group and the students of the second class (n =105) were included in the observation group. The control group was given traditional teaching, and the observation group was given PBL teaching. The results of theory assessment, practical assessment and teaching satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of theoretical courses in the first and second semesters of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The scores of the first and second semester practical courses in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The teaching satisfaction score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion PBL teaching method is a scientific and efficient teaching mode, which can effectively improve students' teaching performance and enhance students' satisfaction
