To investigate the application effect of porcelain laminate veneer in oral aesthetic restoration. Methods Fifty patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in Qingdao Younuo Stomatological Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to different repair materials, with 25 patients in each group. The control group was repaired with metal porcelain crown, and the observation group was repaired with porcelain laminate veneer. The repair effect, gingival health level and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The USPHS score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group at half a year after repair (P <0.05). The PD, SBI, PLI and AL of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at half a year after repair (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.00%, which was lower than 32.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Porcelain laminate veneer has a good application effect in oral aesthetic restoration. It can not only improve the gingival health level, but also reduce the incidence of complications and has high safety.
