Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of modified lateral nasal osteotomy in patients with deviated nasal deformity. Methods From November 2022 to December 2023, 90 patients with deviated nasal deformity admitted to Nanjing Xuanwu Yestar Medical Beauty Clinic were selected and divided into reference group (45 patients) and study group (45 patients) according to different treatment methods. The reference group was treated with asymmetric hump resection, and the study group was treated with modified lateral nasal osteotomy. The nasal shape deviation, nasal congestion, nasal shaping aesthetics and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The nasal shape deviation of the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and that of the study group was lower than that of the reference group (P <0.05). The VAS score of the two groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment, and that in the study group was lower than that in the reference group (P <0.05). The ROE score of the two groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment, and that in the study group was higher than that in the reference group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P >0.05). Conclusion For patients with deviated nasal deformity, modified lateral nasal osteotomy can improve the nasal shape deviation and nasal congestion, and the aesthetic degree of nasal plastic surgery is high, with higher safety.
