Abstract:Objective To compare the restoration effect of fixed denture and removable denture on patients with periodontal disease. Methods A total of 90 patients with periodontal disease admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was treated with removable denture, and the observation group was treated with fixed denture. The restoration effect and quality of life of the two groups were compared. Results The scores of tooth fracture, edge sealing, gingival health and tooth color in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of dysfunction, social disorder, body pain, physiological disorder, negative emotion, disability,psychological disorder and total score in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores of dysfunction, social disorder, body pain, physiological disorder, negative emotion, disability, psychological disorder and total score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with removable denture, fixed denture has better repair effect in patients with periodontal disease, and can improve the quality of life of patients.
