Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of heart-shaped tension-reducing cosmetic suture on wound healing in patients undergoing cesarean section. Methods A total of 60 patients with cesarean section admitted to Yongjing County Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional suture method, and the study group was treated with heartshaped tension-reducing cosmetic suture. The wound healing time, incision suture time, pain, complications and scar aesthetics were compared between the two groups. Results The incision suture and healing time of the study group were shorter than those of the control group (P <0.05). The incision healing degree and scar aesthetics of the study group were better than those of the control group (P <0.05). The pain score of the study group was lower than that of the control group at 7 and 14 days after operation (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 3.33%, which was lower than 20.00% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Heart-shaped tension-reducing cosmetic suture can promote wound healing after cesarean section, inhibit scar formation, improve skin aesthetics, reduce postoperative pain, and have a low incidence of complications.
