Methods A total of 80 patients with deep burn admitted to our hospital from December 2020 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (n =40) and study group (n =40) by random number table method. Both groups received moisture exposed burn ointment for wound repair. The control group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given comprehensive nursing. The degree of pain, negative emotion, scar condition, quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the study group after intervention was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the scores of SAS and SDS in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of scar thickness, color, vascular distribution and softness in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the scores of physical function, psychological function, social relationship and general health status in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group was 5.00%, which was lower than 25.00% in the control group (P <0.05).
