Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of operating room nursing intervention in debridement and suture of maxillofacial trauma. Methods A total of 88 patients with maxillofacial trauma who underwent debridement and suture in Xiangya Stomatological Hospital of Hunan Central South University from January to December 2023 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 44 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, and the observation group received operating room nursing intervention. The first-stage wound healing, intraoperative compliance, depression and anxiety, nursing satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The first-stage wound healing rate of the observation group was 95.45%, which was higher than 72.73% of the control group (P <0.05). The total compliance rate of the observation group was 97.73%, which was higher than 81.82% of the control group (P <0.05). The SAS and SDS scores of the two groups after intervention were lower than those before intervention, and the SAS and SDS scores of the observation group after intervention were lower than those of the control group (P <0.05). The scores of each dimension and total score of nursing satisfaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Operating room nursing intervention can promote wound healing in patients with maxillofacial trauma, relieve negative emotions, improve compliance during operation , reduce the incidence of complications, and improve patient satisfaction.
