Abstract:Temporomandibular joint disorder is a disease that seriously affects oral and maxillofacial health. In clinical practice, pain and dysfunction are the core manifestations. The etiology of the disease is complex, accompanied by abnormal occlusion, abnormal anatomical structure and increased psychological pressure. Orthodontic treatment is an important way to improve the oral occlusal relationship, which has a certain relief effect on the clinical symptoms of temporomandibular joint disorder. However, for some patients with complex temporomandibular disorders, single orthodontic treatment is difficult to achieve the desired effect, and multidisciplinary cooperation is needed. Based on this, this study reviews the synergistic treatment methods of orthodontic treatment combined with surgery, prosthodontics, respiratory and other disciplines, aiming to provide theoretical reference for clinicians and optimize the treatment plan of temporomandibular joint disorder, so as to achieve the best therapeutic effect.
