Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of cosmetic suture on incision healing in parturients undergoing cesarean section. Methods A total of 415 parturients who underwent cesarean section in our hospital from May 2022 to February 2024 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group (n =207) and observation group (n =208) by random number table method. The control group was treated with traditional suture, and the observation group was treated with cosmetic suture. The incision healing, clinical related time indexes, adverse reactions and scar condition were compared between the two groups. Results The grade A healing rate of incision in the observation group was 98.08%, which was higher than 89.37% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The incision suture time of the observation group was longer than that of the control group, and the anal exhaust time, incision healing time and hospitalization time were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 1.44%, which was lower than 4.83% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The thinnest thickness and width of scar in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of cosmetic suture in cesarean section is effective, which can shorten the anal exhaust time, incision healing time and hospitalization time, improve the incision healing rate, improve the scar situation and reduce the risk of adverse reactions
