Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of standardized pain management model in perioperative period of patients with oral and maxillofacial surgery. Methods A total of 200 patients with oral and maxillofacial diseases who underwent surgical treatment in Xiangya Stomatological Hospital of Central South University from January 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 100 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was combined with standardized pain management on the basis of the control group. The pain degree, oral cleanliness, rehabilitation effect, complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score of the observation group at 6, 12 h after operation and before discharge was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). The oral cleanliness of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P <0.05). After nursing, the plaque index, debris index and gingival sulcus bleeding index in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 8.00%, which was lower than 33.00% in the control group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was 92.00%, which was higher than 62.00% of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of standardized pain management mode in the perioperative period of patients with oral and maxillofacial surgery can effectively relieve the postoperative pain of patients, help to accelerate the rehabilitation process, improve the periodontal health status, reduce the incidence of complications, and the patient's satisfaction is high, which is worthy of clinical application.
