Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of minimally invasive porcelain veneer repair in patients with large area caries of anterior teeth. Methods From January 2022 to January 2024, 70 patients with large area caries of anterior teeth admitted to the Department of Prosthodontics, Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were selected and randomly divided into control group and experimental group by random number table method, with 35 patients in each group. The control group was repaired with conventional composite resin veneer, and the experimental group was repaired with minimally invasive porcelain veneer. The aesthetic effect, repair effect, aesthetic satisfaction and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 97.14%, which was higher than 82.86% of the control group (P <0.05). The proportions of restoration edge matching degree, color matching degree and integrity grade reaching grade B and above in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The repair satisfaction of the experimental group was 97.14%, which was higher than 88.57% of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 5.71%, which was lower than 14.29% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion As an important material for the treatment of large area caries of anterior teeth, minimally invasive porcelain veneer can effectively improve the appearance of patients, and the aesthetic and repair effects are affirmed, and good clinical satisfaction is achieved.
