Abstract:Objective To analyze the application value of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) in the treatment of chronic wounds. Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic wounds admitted to Zhaoqing First People's Hospital from May 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with VSD combined with saline irrigation, and the observation group was treated with VSD combined with rhEGF solution irrigation. The clinical efficacy and wound recovery of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 90.00%, which was higher than 72.00% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The wound healing rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the length of wound reduction and the time of granulation completely covering the wound were better than those of the control group, the VAS and VSS scores were lower in the control group, and the difference were statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The overall effect of VSD combined with rhEGF solution irrigation in the treatment of chronic wounds is ideal, which is conducive to promoting wound tissue repair, and the patient's pain is lighter, and the application value is higher.
