Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of digital oral scanning in complete denture restoration. Methods A total of 56 middle-aged and elderly patients with dentition loss admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into reference group and experimental group by random number table method, with 28 patients in each group. The reference group was treated with traditional impression for complete denture restoration, and the experimental group was treated with digital oral scanning for complete denture restoration. The number of visits, time of each visit, satisfaction and language function were compared between the two groups. Results The number of visits in the experimental group was less than that in the reference group, and the time of each visit was shorter than that in the reference group (P <0.05). The satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group (P <0.05).The language function score of the experimental group was higher than that of the reference group at 3 months after repair (P <0.05). Conclusion The application effect of digital oral scanning for complete denture restoration is good, which can reduce the number of visits, shorten the time of each visit, improve the language function of patients, and its satisfaction with treatment is high.
