Abstract:Objective To investigate the difference between the application effect of biofunctional prosthetic system (BPS) denture restoration and traditional complete denture restoration technology in the treatment of low and flat alveolar ridge complete denture repair. Methods Sixty patients with low and flat alveolar ridge admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to February 2023 were selected and divided into conventional group and experimental group by random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. The conventional group was treated with traditional complete denture restoration technology, and the experimental group was treated with BPS denture restoration technology. The clinical efficacy, repair effect and repair satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 96.67%, which was higher than 80.00% in the conventional group (P <0.05). The comfort, fixation, masticatory, pronunciation function and appearance scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the conventional group (P <0.05). The repair satisfaction of the experimental group was 93.33%, which was higher than 73.33% of the conventional group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with the traditional repair technology, BPS restoration technology has a better application effect in the repair of low and flat alveolar ridge complete denture, which can effectively improve the masticatory and pronunciation function, improve the aesthetics and comfort, and the patients' satisfaction with the repair effect is higher.
