Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of Beyond cold light whitening combined with ICON penetrating resin on the aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth in patients with dental fluorosis and its effect on tooth sensitivity. Methods A total of 78 patients with dental fluorosis admitted to the Sixth Hospital of Baoding from October 2022 to January 2024 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 39 patients in each group. The control group was given Beyond cold light whitening repair, and the observation group was given Beyond cold light whitening combined with ICON penetrating resin repair. The aesthetic repair effect, tooth sensitivity and repair satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the total effective rate of aesthetic repair between the two groups after 1 week of treatment (P >0.05). The total effective rate of aesthetic repair in the observation group was 92.31% after 1 month of treatment, which was higher than 69.23% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in tooth sensitivity between the two groups (P >0.05). The repair satisfaction of the observation group was 94.87%, which was higher than 76.92% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Beyond cold light whitening combined with ICON penetrating resin is effective in the aesthetic restoration of anterior teeth in patients with dental fluorosis, which can improve the aesthetic restoration effect, and will not aggravate the tooth sensitivity of patients. Meanwhie, it is beneficial to improve patient satisfaction and is worthy of clinical application.
