Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of whole-course high-quality nursing in patients with dento-maxillofacial deformity during the combined treatment of orthognathic and orthodontics. Methods A total of 80 patients with dento-maxillofacial deformity admitted to our hospital from May 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into routine group and experimental group, with 40 patients in each group. The routine group was treated with routine nursing measures, and the experimental group was treated with whole-course high-quality nursing. The clinical indicators, pain scores, nursing satisfaction, complications and quality of life was compared between the two groups. Results The suture removal time and hospitalization time in the experimental group were shorter than that in the routine group (P <0.05). The VAS score of the experimental group on the 1st and 3rd day after operation was lower than that of the routine group (P <0.05). The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the routine group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the routine group (P <0.05). The scores of each dimension of quality of life in the experimental group were higher than those in the routine group (P <0.05). Conclusion Whole-course high-quality nursing model has a good effect in patients with dento-maxillofacial deformity during the combined treatment of orthognathic and orthodontics, which can shorten the time of suture removal and hospitalization, reduce the degree of postoperative pain, improve nursing satisfaction, and reduce the incidence of complications.
