Abstract:Objective To explore the aesthetic effect of combined periodontal restoration on residual roots and crowns of anterior teeth. Methods A total of 88 patients with residual roots and crowns of anterior teeth admitted to Qianxinan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 44 patients in each group. The control group was treated with fiberglass post repair, and the observation group was treated with crown lengthening combined with fiberglass post repair. The aesthetic effect, periodontal indexes and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of PES and WES in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The PD, AL and SBI indexes of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the chewing efficiency was higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.55%, which was lower than 18.18% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The combined periodontal restoration has a definite effect on the repair of residual roots and crowns of anterior teeth, which can effectively improve the aesthetics of patients' teeth, maintain their periodontal health, and has high safety.
