Abstract:Objective To study the clinical efficacy of orthodontics combined with implant denture in the treatment of adult anterior teeth malocclusion and dentition defect and its effect on oral function and periodontal health. Methods From August 2022 to December 2023, 50 adult patients with anterior teeth malocclusion and dentition defect were selected from Lianyuan Lantian Kangsheng Stomatological Hospital. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 25 patients in each group. The control group was treated with implant denture, and the observation group was treated with orthodontics combined with implant denture. The oral function, periodontal health, occlusal function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of oral function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The indexes of periodontal index in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the occlusal function of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P <0.05). The scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontic combined with implant denture can improve the oral health and occlusal function of adult patients with anterior teeth malocclusion and dentition defect of, and can improve the quality of life of patients.
