Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of light-cured composite resin in oral aesthetic restoration and its influence on the aesthetics of patients' teeth. Methods A total of 70 patients who underwent oral aesthetic restoration in the Department of Stomatology of our hospital from July 2020 to July 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the reference group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 35 patients in each group. The reference group was given porcelain veneer repair, and the observation group was given light-cured composite resin repair. The oral aesthetic restoration effect, adverse outcome and tooth aesthetics were compared between the two groups. Results The excellent and good rate of oral aesthetic restoration in the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 85.71% in the reference group (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse outcomes in the observation group was 2.86%, which was lower than 31.43% in the reference group (P <0.05). The scores of restoration morphology, color luster and overall aesthetics in the observation group were higher than those in the reference group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application value of light-cured composite resin in oral aesthetic restoration is definite. Its repair integrity is good and its stability is good. Meanwhile, it can reduce the probability of prosthesis shedding, has little stimulation to normal periodontal tissue, and has high aesthetic appearance of teeth after repair.
