Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of high-density porous polyethylene combined with autologous ear cartilage and silicone prosthesis in rhinoplasty. Methods A total of 82 patients who underwent rhinoplasty in Shanghai CHINGHO Medical Clinic from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group (n =41) and observation group (n =41) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with simple silicone prosthesis for rhinoplasty. The observation group was treated with high-density porous polyethylene combined with autologous ear cartilage and silicone prosthesis for rhinoplasty. The nasal morphology, cosmetic effect satisfaction and complication were compared between the two groups. Results The postoperative nasolabial angle of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, and the nasal length and nasal depth were larger than those of the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of cosmetic effect in the observation group was 97.56%, which was higher than 80.49% in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complication in the observation group was 9.76%, which was lower than 21.95% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of high-density porous polyethylene combined with autologous ear cartilage and silicone prosthesis in rhinoplasty is accurate, which can effectively improve the nasal morphology and obtain higher cosmetic effect satisfaction, and the incidence of postoperative complication is low, and the application safety is high.
