Abstract:Objective To analyse the application effect of orthodontics combined with restoration in patients with malocclusion and dentition defect. Methods A total of 82 patients with malocclusion and dentition defect admitted to Yinchuan Stomatology Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects, and they were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral restoration, and the experimental group was treated with orthodontics combined with restoration. The repair effect, occlusal function and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of repair in the experimental group was 92.68%, which was higher than 78.05% in the control group. The masticatory efficiency and occlusal force in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was 4.88%, which was lower than 19.51% in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The application of orthodontics combined with restoration in patients with malocclusion and dentition defect is effective, which can enhance the repair effect and effectively improve the occlusal function of patients, with a lower incidence of complications after repair and greater safety.
