Abstract:Objective: To investigate the effect of mindfulness decompression therapy on perceived stress and quality of life of young patients with breast cancer undergoing breast conserving surgery. Methods: 106 young breast cancer patients who received breast conserving surgery from August 2022 to August 2024 were included in the study. The enrolled patients were grouped according to different nursing plans. 53 patients who received routine nursing were set as a control group. 53 patients who received mindfulness decompression therapy were set as a study group. The improvement of cancer coping style, perceived stress and quality of life of the two groups of patients were compared. Results: Compared with before intervention, the cancer coping style of the two groups of patients showed significant improvement after intervention, and the study group showed the best improvement (P<0.05). The perceived stress scores of the two groups of patients showed a significant decrease after intervention compared to before intervention, and the study group had a lower score (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the quality of life of the two groups of patients improved significantly after intervention, and the study group was better (P<0.05). Conclusion: Mindfulness decompression therapy for young breast cancer patients undergoing breast conserving surgery can effectively correct their cancer coping style, reduce their perceived stress, and have positive significance in improving their quality of life.
