Abstract:Objective To analyze the application of oral digital photography in oral aesthetic restoration and its influence on facial aesthetics and satisfaction. Methods From March 2022 to February 2024, 78 patients with oral aesthetic restoration admitted to Gangu County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected, and they were divided into control group and observation group by the random single and double number method, with 39 patients in each group. The control group was completed aesthetic restoration by conventional colorimetry method, and the observation group was completed aesthetic restoration by oral digital photography. The restoration effect, aesthetic effect, satisfaction and PES index were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of color, shape, alignment, fit and comfort in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of overall shape, marginal fit and restoration color in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The satisfaction rate of the observation group was 100.00%, which was higher than 87.18% in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of mesial gingival papilla, distal gingival papilla, labial gingival margin level, alveolar protrusion shape, soft tissue morphology, soft tissue color and texture in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Compared with the conventional colorimetry method, the application of oral digital photography in oral aesthetic restoration can improve the restoration effect, aesthetic effect, satisfaction and PES index, which can satisfy people’s pursuit of facial aesthetics.
