Anterior teeth diastema is one of the diseases with high clinical incidence, which is manifested as the existence of gaps between the anterior teeth, and is related to congenital tooth loss, oversized jaws, and small teeth, etc. Aesthetic restoration combined with orthodontics occupies an important position in the treatment of anterior teeth diastema. The study of the mechanism and method of aesthetic restoration combined with orthodontic in the treatment of anterior teeth diastema is needed to promote the development of related theories and to improve the level of clinical application. This article summarises the specific mechanisms and effective methods of aesthetic restoration combined with orthodontics in the treatment of anterior teeth diastema in recent years from the aspects of minimally invasive ultra-thin ceramic veneer, invisible extraction, composite resin restoration and all-ceramic veneer, aiming at providing the theory basis for the clinical application of aesthetic restoration combined with orthodontics in the treatment of anterior teeth diastema.
