Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of orthodontics combined with implant restoration on dental function and aesthetic effect in patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity. Methods A total of 82 patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity treated in our hospital from January 2023 to August 2024 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into control group and study group by the random number table method, with 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with implant restoration, and the study group was treated with implant restoration combined with orthodontics. The dental function, oral health level, oral hygiene degree, aesthetic effect and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of swallowing function, linguistic function and mastication function in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the score of oral health impact profile in the study group was lower than that of the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the scores of sdebris index, oral plaque attachment index and periodontal pocket depth in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). After treatment, the pink esthetic index score in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of complications in the study group (4.88%) was lower than that in the control group (21.95%) (P <0.05). Conclusion Orthodontics combined with implant restoration has positive effects on dental function, aesthetic effect, oral health degree and hygienic condition of patients with dentition defect and dentognathic deformity, and the safety is high, which is worthy of clinical application.
