Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of the modified Dai Jin's oral feeding method on the comfort of patients after oral and maxillofacial surgery. Methods A total of 68 patients who underwent oral and maxillofacial surgery in our hospital from March 2023 to November 2024 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into control group and study group, with 34 patients in each group. The control group adopted the traditional oral feeding method, and the study group adopted the modified Dai Jin's oral feeding method. The comfort, nutritional support intervention satisfaction, pain degree during eating, quality of life and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The comfort and nutritional support satisfaction in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the VAS score during eating in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the quality of life score was higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion For patients after oral and maxillofacial surgery, the application of modified Dai Jin's oral feeding method can improve their nutritional indicators, enhance comfort, relieve discomfort, improve quality of life, and help to reduce the incidence of complications.
