Abstract:Objective: To analyze the cosmetic effect of aesthetic restoration in oral medicine. Methods: Sixty patients with anterior dental aesthetic restoration who visited our hospital from August 2021 to August 2024 were selected and divided into a conventional group (n=30) and an aesthetic group (n=30) based on different restoration treatment methods. The conventional group received conventional restoration, and the aesthetic group received aesthetic restoration. The two groups were compared in terms of edge fit, color matching, aesthetic restoration score, gingival crevicular inflammatory factor index, and patient satisfaction. Results: The excellent rate of edge tightness in the aesthetic group (96.67%) was higher than the conventional group (73.33%) (χ2=6.405, P<0.05). The rate of grade I-II in the aesthetic group (93.33%) was higher than the conventional group (73.33%) (χ2=4.320, P<0.05). After treatment, the aesthetic group had higher scores for gingival margin, comfort, color, and aesthetics than the conventional group (t=9.658, 5.106, 15.761, 5.712, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF - α) in the aesthetic group were lower than those in the conventional group (t=20.100, 4.901, P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of patients in the aesthetic group (93.33%) was higher than the conventional group (70.00%) (χ2=5.455, P<0.05). Conclusion: Aesthetic restoration can effectively improve the edge fit, color matching, and aesthetic restoration effect of patients with anterior teeth, and reduce gingival crevicular inflammation.
