Abstract:With the gradual development of digital technology and orthodontics, 3D printing technology has been widely used in orthodontics with its advantages of personalized customization. It not only shortens the manufacturing time, but also reduces the error of manual operation,, thereby enhancing the accuracy of treatment and improving patient comfort. By sorting out and summarizing relevant literature reports, this article explores the application advantages of 3D printing technology in orthodontics and elaborates on its practical applications in orthodontics treatment, including the application in digital models, bracketless invisible appliances, removable orthodontic appliances, fabrication of lingual brackets, 3D-printed transfer trays and occlusal splints, while also focusing on the current challenges faced by 3D printing technology, such as the limitations of materials and processes, aiming to provide a solid basis and guidance for its practical application in stomatology.
