Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of orthodontics and porcelain aesthetic restoration in patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth and its influence on their periodontal health and occlusal function. Methods A total of 70 patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth admitted to the Department of Stomatology, Guangyuan Central Hospital from January to July 2023 were selected. According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 35 patients in each group. The control group received orthodontics treatment with post crown restoration, and the observation group received orthodontics and porcelain aesthetic restoration treatment. The clinical efficacy, plaque index, occlusal force, masticatory function, aesthetics and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate in the observation group was 97.14%, which was higher than 77.14% in the control group (P <0.05). The plaque index, occlusal force and masticatory function in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P <0.05). The scores of aesthetics and satisfaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The combined treatment of orthodontics and porcelain aesthetic restoration for patients with subgingival crown fracture of anterior teeth can enhance the clinical effect, promote the recovery of the tooth root and periodontal tissues, improve the dental function and appearance, and lead to higher patient satisfaction.
